P&K's Jekyll Island Engagement Session ~ Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Last weekend, Brent and I had the joy of witnessing two of our friends tie the Knot at the Jekyll Island Club. So while we were down on Jekyll,  my amazing clients Paige and Kevin drove down from Atlanta for a destination engagement session! Saturday was a little chilly, super windy, and high tide so we captured a few around the Clam Creek Picnic area and the Horton House ruins. We met back up Sunday to capture a few fun photos down by Driftwood Beach. I just love how these turned out!!! Can't wait for their March 2013 wedding!

Here is a little preview of my favorite photos I snapped as a guest at Kasia and Alex's wedding too!!!

Happy Thanksgiving 2012 ~ Atlanta Photographer

As most of you have noticed on Facebook & Twitter that once again my “Days of Thanks” updates have fallen short… I think I may have made it to day 5. This actually is not bad for me! Social Media just takes so much time and discipline. Instead I have decided to layout my 22 reasons I am Thankful and such a lucky girl this year to share with you all this Thanksgiving!

1.  I am thankful for my faith in the Lord above who continues to strengthen me and guide me (even if I sometimes find myself on the wrong path)

2.  I am thankful for my husband who loves me and encourages me to chase my dreams

3.       I am thankful for a large, loving family – we put the FUN in Dysfunctional.

4.       I am thankful that God gave our family the most beautiful, fun loving, red headed 3 year old and feel it’s time for my sister to have another one for me to love!!

5.       I am thankful for the newest addition to my household – BELLA. Despite her piddles & poo accidents in the house. She brings a huge smile to my face. (She is a F1 Goldendoodle)

6.       I am thankful for Mimi – my super needy rescue kitty who continues to teach Bella to behave.

7.       I am thankful for my childhood girlfriends (Amanda, Erica, Jessica & Michelle) for all of our crazy shenanigans & who despite our disagreements over the last 20 years – they continue to be such a huge part of my life.

8.       I am thankful for my wonderful neighbors that I met this year and the happiness they bring to my life – Thanks Barbara, Elizabeth, & Twanda

9.       I am thankful for all the amazing people I have met since I moved to Atlanta 5 years ago.

10.   I am thankful for being able to experience the different seasons although I think I’ve decided to start “wintering” in Florida so I don’t freeze!

11.   I am thankful for living in a great community and finally joining the YMCA. Yoga is awesome!

12.   I am thankful for my continued good health and happiness... I've totally rocked the Red Hair this year!! I must try to work on getting healthier at least I did join the Y!

13.   I am thankful for my creative talents – Lord knows I was never meant to be an athlete!!!

Jenny & Robert at McDaniel Farm Park ~ Duluth Wedding Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Jenny and Robert at McDaniel Farm park last Sunday for their fabulous engagement session. Jenny was rocking my favorite look – tight jeans, winter boots, and a scarf! I’m becoming very fond of this little park in Duluth – every time I shoot there I find another angle or area I love. Plus, the morning lighting and changing leaves were fabulous. I’m looking forward to their wedding at Primrose cottage in August of 2013. Hope you enjoy a sneak peek…

Parker Pack Family Portraits ~ Kennesaw Photographer

Nina and I met a few months ago at a photography workshop. We instantly became good friends! Nina has a huge heart and loves to spend time with her family.  Last Sunday I had the opportunity to shoot the Parker Pack annual family photos at Kennesaw Mountain. Every photographer has their own style and process so to be asked to shoot another photogs family is a great honor for me!

Robyn & Chris's Agnes Scott College Session ~ Decatur Photographer

Robyn and Chris chose Anges Scott College as their engagement session location since Robyn is currently employed there. I had never seen the campus since I don’t find myself in Decatur that often. I was immediately inspired by the beautiful architecture that the campus has to offer.  Plus, you couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful Fall morning in Atlanta!  I'm looking to their March 2013 wedding! Hope you enjoy a sneak peek from their session….

Kathy & Ray's McDaniel Farm Park Session ~ Duluth Wedding Photographer

Kathy and Ray’s fall engagement session was shot at McDaniel Farm Park in Duluth. The park has a lot of charm with its beautiful bridges and old barn. We had a great morning strolling in the beautiful Georgia Fall Weather. We ended the session with a little collegiate rivalry as Ray and Kathy donned their Clemson and Georgia football attire!
