2011 in Review: WEDDINGS!!!!

Oh how the time does fly - when you are having fun! This year will forever be one of the greatest years of my life - both professionally and personally. Some of the highlights include marrying my best friend in the Florida Keys this past April, leaving my corporate job to chase my dream job, and ending the year spending time with my family at our ranch in Central Florida. Many people love the snow and cold weather that comes with Christmas... I however prefer to have endless sunshine and 80 degree temperature! My husband on the other hand is spending his holiday season chasing penguins in the South Pole.

As January 1st quickly approaches - marking the end to this fabulous year - I wanted to share one of my favorite shots from each of the weddings I photographed, second shot at, or attended! From Destination weddings in Key West and Savannah to Country Club weddings in Tampa and Atlanta. It has been one beautiful year of weddings with amazing clients, friends, and family!

Of course - I had to include a favorite from my very own wedding!

Busy year full of love!!! I can't wait for all the beautiful weddings in 2012!

Casey & Shane's Sunset Wedding ~ Key West Photographer

Casey and Shane had a great destination wedding in the Florida Keys this past weekend and I got to tag along to help capture their story. Opting to do a first look, Casey and Shane were able to drive around the island to take pictures at many of Key Wests most famous spots like the Southern Most Point and Mile Marker Zero. We drove around in an electric car before meeting up with everyone at the Francis Street Bottle Inn so we could all ride over on the Old Town Trolley to Fort Zach. They had an intimate sunset ceremony at Fort Zachary Taylor followed by a lovely dinner at Croissants de France on Duval Street.

Brent and I wish the two of them a very long happy life together!

Katie & Nathan's Deep South Wedding ~ Savannah Wedding Photographer

Katie and Nate had a beautiful Savannah Wedding at the Harper Fowlkes House. Their wedding was romantic and intimate under the beautiful Savannah stars. Before the wedding, Katie told me that they chose Savannah because their favorite movie is Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. They pictured their wedding under the large oak trees surrounded by Spanish Moss so I was sure to bring in elements in their photographs that would give them that feel! Every element of their wedding was completed with perfection. Brent (my assistant for the evening!) and I enjoyed ourselves - the food, the weather, the music! We wish them many years of love and happiness and one helluva Hawaii Trip! We'll compare stories when Brent and I get back from Maui and the Big Island right after you guys!

Erin & Andrew's Country Club Wedding ~ Savannah Wedding Photographer

Back in May, I helped Catherine shoot a wedding at the Savannah Golf Club. It was a beautiful, classic country club style wedding - with lots of hydrangea! Here are a few of my favorite detail shots starting with the guys getting ready at the Avia Hotel.

The Groom wore his grandfather's cuff links. It is always great to have some family heirlooms present on your wedding day...
