Bigger and Better in Texas ~ San Antonio, Texas

Now that I'm finally getting caught up, I had some time to go through some of the pics from our 3 Day weekend in San Antonio! The Imagining USA Conference was a blast! I meet a lot of amazing photographers, learned some new tricks thanks to all the great speakers, found some new hot products all of you are sure to love, and spent some time touring the city! San Antonio is a great place for a quick vacation and we enjoyed our time on the Riverwalk. We did the boat tour through the city and I must say it was very Disney-esque. The weather wasn't the greatest, but it was better than being in Atlanta during Snowpocalypse 2011!

Enjoy my favorites...
The Alamo at night is beautiful but what made my night was the Sheriff standing in front of it with his hat... priceless!

Swoozie's Bridal Party Event ~ all the presents, paper, and pizazz your wedding needs!

Judy and her staff at Swoozie's @ the Forum was gracious enough to ask me to be their photographer at last Sunday's Bridal Party event. The event had a great turn out of brides. They enjoyed give-a-ways, champagne, and local vendors with all the right tools to make a wedding extra special! As a bride-to-be and vendor - it was an extra special event and they spoiled me with a goodie bag.

Here are a few photos from the event...

Don't forget a little something for your hostess with the mostest... my bridal shower hostesses will be surprised with their gifts from Swoozie's for sure!!

Sweet Elegance Bridal in Decatur was at the show with a few of their lovely gowns. If you are looking for a dress be sure to check out their selection. Aimee and her staff are amazing!

Be sure to spoil your bridesmaids with a chic tote!

Project 52 - Week 2

Week 2 of Project 52 and it has been a crazy week for all of us in Atlanta... I've been held up in my house since Sunday because the roadways have turned into ice skating rinks.Where are the snow plows and salt trucks? um... we don't have ANY!! It is the South after all. And talk about CABIN FEVER. Luckily, I live in walking distance to an outdoor shopping mall that has a Trader Joes. We also walked around taking photos of the neighborhood as it was covered with 6 inches of beautiful, white snow.

Here is my favorite...

Next Project 52 post should be something awesome from San Antonio! Texas look out here I come...

Glowing with Love ~ Athen's, Georgia

To all of you who are like us in Atlanta and are surrounded by ice and snow... this post is guaranteed to warm your spirits. I meet Lora and Solomon a few months ago when we did their engagement shoot at The State Botanical Garden's in Athens. Immediately, I was smitten. Their love and joy inside and out is contagious... pure and simple - these two are glowing with Love. I'm a true believer that their strong faith in God and the support from their amazing friends and family would allow these two to move mountains. And in the process they moved me....

Now for the sneak peek....

Lora's mom helping her get in her dress.

The ceremony was held at the Foundry Inn and Spa

We took a few pics around the Foundry after the ceremony before heading to the reception...
Lora made all her bridesmaids and friends fun sunglasses...

Lora and Solomon had a lovely dessert reception before they headed out in style with their 2011 glasses on. I just loved her expression during the bouquet toss!

Congratulations to the Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Smothers.... may your love and compassion continue to move others. Thank you for allowing me to capture your special day.
Cheers,
Julie

Project 52 - Week 1

I'm sure you all have heard of the 365 day project where you take a photo everyday. Well - I tried that last year and it was a huge flop. So this year I'm trying something new...that's right Project 52! Each week I will challenge myself to become more familiar with my gear and become more creative. Each week I will take a few photos and share my favorite with you. And so I'm not cheating my creativity- I will not be using any photos from my sessions. I hope you enjoy my photos...

First up is my gorgeous wedding cake ornament my future-sister-in-law bought us for Christmas. And yes, my Christmas tree is still up! It's been a busy holiday...
