Cynthia & Dustin's Vintage Wedding ~ Wauchula Photographer

Cynthia and Dustin had a lovely vintage wedding at Homeland Heritage Park in one of the oldest standing churches in Florida. The beautiful little church was built in 1887 and still has the original stain glass windows. Their vintage inspired reception was held at Torrey Oaks Community Room. She used a lot of her own antiques and creativity to give the reception hall it’s vintage makeover. Cynthia and Dustin’s wedding is very special to me.  Their wedding was the first wedding I shot where I was surrounded by friends that I have known since I was a little girl. Her sister Aimee and I have been close friends since Junior High. I actually took pictures at Aimee’s wedding two years ago when my passion for photography was just getting fired up! Cynthia & Dustin’s wedding was also my first hometown wedding back in Wauchula, Florida were I was raised. It’s so nice to have a great reason to go home and visit!

Cynthia & Dustin's E-Session under Old Oak Trees ~ Wauchula Photographer

While spending 2 weeks working around Florida, I popped into my hometown of Wauchula to shoot Cynthia and Dustin's engagement session. When some people think of Florida, all they picture is white sandy beaches and lots of retirees. However growing up in Central Florida , you know that the state is mostly orange trees, palmettos, old oaks with hanging moss, and lots of cattle. The rustic and untouched feel of Hardee County makes it a truly picturesque place for a romantic picnic/engagement session. I'm looking forward to flying back down for their vintage themed wedding at the Homeland Heritage Park in September!
